On 25 March 2017 over 1000 people attended the Ultimate Civic Disco at the Alban Arena in St Albans. The winners of the annual photo competition organised for students by the St Albans Camera Club with the Trust were chosen on the 6th December. St Albans’ Got Talent winner Damien Winchester has handed over £3,000 to the City’s new Museum and Art Gallery project. He presented a cheque after enjoying one of his prizes – the chance to sing in front of more than 16,000 people at the St Albans Christmas lights switch-on. As part of their Pearl Anniversary celebrations, Sopwell House & the Bejerano family have generously donated £72,000 towards “renaissance; St Albans”. Abraham Bejerano is a patron of the Trust and has generously supported the project to create a new Museum and Gallery in the Town Hall at the heart of the City of St Albans.
