Written in the Corners of Streets

Solo exhibition by Katie Aggett, winner of Eastern Approaches 2013

Katie Aggett’s work is inspired by the living, breathing, cities we inhabit. The artwork is titled after specific postcodes with each location’s changing architecture and space being a base for the way the artwork develops and grows. The core forms of the work aim to suggest, through line, material choice and form, its direction of movement and change.

She will use the St Albans Museum space to further engage in reciprocity between drawn and sculptural form through material correspondence and composition in the space. The sculptures and drawings will sit together within the gallery as marks made upon and within the space.
