St Albans Museums and Galleries Trust are privileged to be one of the two official charities for the 2015 St Albans Half Marathon. The Trust are raising £1.7 million towards the renaissance: St Albans project to create a new museum and gallery in the Georgian Grade II* listed St Albans Town Hall.

School pupils across the district can help create this fantastic museum and gallery by being sponsored for one of the St Albans Half Marathon events. In recognition of pupils and schools raising money for the new museum and gallery project, the school’s name will be put on one of the fabulous new education trolleys that form a key part of the learning centre, clearly displayed for all to see, for years to come.

As in previous years pupils from primary schools also have the opportunity to participate in the Primary Schools Challenge organised by 1Life. The school with the highest number of entries in the 12 years and under age group of the 1.5 mile fun run race will win a cash prize from 1Life.

The St Albans Half Marathon Event offers something for everyone of all ages and abilities, with the Half Marathon, Walking Half Marathon, 5k Race and 1.5 Mile Children’s Fun Run.

To participate please sign up for one of the events here and then set up a fundraising page on BT MyDonate. Don’t forget to mention the schools name on your fundraising page or set up a school group fundraising page. Contact us to let us know you are joining in for the new museum and gallery.
